What Is Essential Rewards?

Essential Rewards (ER) is our customer loyalty program. It is an optional program that helps you earn free products! The best part about the program is that there are no strings attached. It’s VERY simple. You may sign up for the program at anytime in your oil journey. If you are not satisfied, you may cancel at any time. If you love Young Living essential oils and they currently have become a way of life, then it only makes sense to join ER!

This program is a great option:

1. Earn ER points = store credit to use in the future

2. Earn free promotional YL products each month based on what you spend 

3. Receive discounted shipping

4. Gain access to special ER kits that are exclusively offered to ER customers.

5. Earn loyalty gifts during the first year for every 3 consecutive months up to 12 months. 6. An Exclusive Anniversary Blend for every year after your first.

 

This program will allow you to build your oil collection and start sharing the love of oils with your friends and family. With ER you will get a monthly order of your choosing. It is exclusive to those who have purchased a starter kit. The only requirement is to place one 50PV order per month. TIP: In the beginning you will earn 10% back on your purchases. If you order $50PV then you will have $5 of points to spend already. Do that for 2 months and you have enough for a free RC or Orange!

 

Perks of Essential Rewards

Let’s talk about what you get from Essential Rewards!

Each month you will earn a percentage of your PV value back in Essential Reward points. As you stay in the program longer you will earn a higher percentage. 1 PV generally = $1.

Some exceptions apply. ( mainly Diffusers and Kits)

- Earn 10 % back of your total purchase in store credit months 1-3 when being an active ER member.

A member can redeem ER Reward points three months after joining the program.

- Earn 20% back 4-24 months

- Earn 25 % 25+ months

 

Existing members will be rewarded on their percentage points based on how many consecutive ER orders have been processed up to the point of implementation of the new program.

- Loyalty Gifts at 3, 6, 9 consecutive months of your first year enrolled in ER, a bonus loyalty gift at 12 months and an exclusive anniversary blend every year thereafter - each year will be a different blend just for ER members!

 

*Every existing member and every new member will begin at month 0 for Loyalty Gifts and will start the qualification process for their bonus gifts immediately upon implementation of the new program.

 

Young Living has amazing promotions to earn each month. When you sign up for ER, you become eligible to receive additional ER exclusive promotions.

 

Reduced shipping is a perk of the Essential Rewards program. You can find this under the Mail shipping option under YL Choice.

 

TIP: You can gather orders from friends and family to add onto your monthly order. This will help you meet your minimum requirement of $50/mo. You can see how this will add up quickly and you will be well on your way to earning free promotional YL products and store credit!

 

Minimum Amount

​

How much do I have to purchase? 50 PV is the minimum amount that you need to maintain each month in your Essential Rewards order. You can always increase your order to fit your needs for the month. You may only process 1 ER order a month so make sure to include everything. If you find you need additional oils/products once ER order has been placed, you simply place an additional Quick Order or wait to add those oils to the following months ER order.

 

Be sure to look up the monthly promotions before you adjust your order for the month to so you don’t miss out on any additional freebies.

 

Can I change my order each month? Yes! That is the beauty of this program. Young Living has a huge selection of essential oils, home, wellness and beauty products. You are never locked into ordering the same items every month. Simply go to your Essential Rewards section of your virtual office and adjust and confirm your items.

 

TIP: We recommend you set up your PV Assistant. There are times when your product saved in your cart goes out of stock and can affect the 50 PV requirement. In this case, you can save your favorites in the PV assistant so it will send you one of your favorites and prevent you from hitting your 50 PV minimum.

 

*Note* - The ER minimum requirement is 50 PV. Business members do their orders a little differently to get full compensation. Make sure if you are a business member you talk to your enroller.

 

Your Monthly Order

​

You are never locked into the same date every month. You can modify your process date, every month, if you desire. Some of us have complicated schedules, are traveling, waiting on a paycheck or just need the order ASAP. No problem, go to your account and modify your date. You will be allowed to pick a new date from the calendar and change your day.

 

To change the date, you have 2 options.

In the virtual office go to Essential Rewards. 1) Manually process by selecting “Process Today” 2) Change Processing Day under the Processing Date section.

 

TIP: It is a good idea to set a reminder on your phone. On your processing day, (before midnight MST) log into your Virtual Office and make sure your order is correct.

 

More Freebies

Every month Young Living provides promotions for members whose single orders total 190, 250 or 300PV. They also offer a Bonus Essential Rewards exclusive freebie. This is for members who are making their purchase through Essential Rewards. We love this! With one ER order you can earn regular promotional items, bonus ER items, AND earn reward points to use later!!! SCORE!

 

If you cannot figure out what oils to buy. Start by talking to the person you bought your kit from. That person will be able to help you research and decide what will work for you. Then visit First Drop or Next Drop. Members are always posting about the new oils that they are trying.

 

Finally, there are Essential Reward kits specially designed for your interests. If you love Thieves, check out the Thieves Essential Rewards Kit. If you love NingXia Red, there’s an Essential Rewards kit for that! It’s actually the best deal for your money when you want to buy Ningxia Red. Simply add it to your cart and enjoy the products.

 

How To Sign Up

To sign up go to your Virtual Office on youngliving.com and click on Essential Rewards on the menu on the left hand side. You can also join easily by calling Customer Service at 1.800.371.3515. If at any time you have questions, contact your enroller—that’s what we’re here for!

 

Getting Free Stuff

​

Start by checking to see how many points you have accumulated. You will see this in your Virtual Office on your Dashboard under Rewards Point Balance. You can also go to the Essential Rewards section and go to the Rewards Points tab to see your earning rate and rewards balance.


To use your points, place a Quick Order. Log in to your account, add items to the regular Quick Order shopping cart. When you check-out, there is an option to use your Essential Reward Points as a payment option. These Essential Rewards points can be used like cash toward your favorite full-PV products.


Keep in mind that you do not earn additional Essential Rewards points for products that were purchased with your points, and your points expire on a rolling 12-month basis.
You can use points for some of the items in your cart. You can choose to use all available points. Or use a portion of the points and save some for later.


Tip: Not all products are available when cashing out your ER points. You can only use points on FULL PV items. Diffusers and expensive oils (Rose) are examples of products that are not full-PV.

 

How Do I Use Reduced Shipping

​

If you are in the Essential Rewards program you have the option to choose a cheaper method of shipping. This is the Mail option under YL Choice. If you want your order faster you can pick a different method, entirely up to you. Please note that the estimated shipping times are in business days and it will still take 2-3 business days for the items to leave the warehouse. Shipping is based on weight, so if you are ordering heavier items like Ningxia Reds and laundry detergent, you will notice your shipping will be a little higher then if you were just buying bottles of oil.


*Note* Don't be fooled by the $0.00 Will call option. For many of us Utah is a long drive to pick up.

 

What About Cancelling​

If you decide that you are no longer interested in the Essential Reward program, canceling is easy. There are no penalties. You are not locked into anything. To cancel, call Young Living Customer Care (1.800.371.3515) and let them know.


*Note* Before you cancel, make sure you use your accumulated reward points. You will loose them when you cancel.


*WHAT IF I DECIDE TO REJOIN ESSENTIAL REWARDS AFTER QUITTING?
- If you resign up, you are eligible for loyalty gifts you have not received. So if the first time someone quit at month 4, they got the 3 month gift. If they rejoined, they would not receive the 3 month gift again but would be eligible for the gifts at 6, 9,12 months and annual gifts. 

- Your ER percentage will start over at month 1 when restarting.
