How To Use Essential Oils

Topically

Most essential oils can be used directly on your skin (neat) or diluted (with a carrier oil). Applying oils directly to the target location on your body is best. Avoid putting essential oils in or around your eyes, inside your nose, or inside of your ear.

You can put one or two drops of essential oil in the palm of your hand and put a few drops of carrier oil with it and apply to the desired location. Always look at the bottle for dilution ratios if necessary

You can also use a glass roller bottle. Ad 10 or more drops to the roller bottle and fill the rest with a carrier oil. Always shake before using.

Aromatically

Research show that the pure constituents in therapeutic grade essential oils stimulate the olfactory receptors and activate regions in the brain's limbic system associated with memory, emotion, and consciousness. It's as easy as just inhaling the aroma of an essential oils to ease daily stressors and occasional ups and downs.

You can place 1 or 2 drops of oils in your hand along with a drop or two of a carrier oil and cups your hands over your nose and inhale them.

Young Living diffusers propel essential oil molecules into the air, where they stay long after the diffuser has been turned off. Certain essential oils purify, while others boost your energy, or promote a more restful atmosphere during bedtime.

Internally

Not all essential oils should be used internally. In fact, most essential oils you find at the health food store say "Not For Internal Use", right on the bottle. Often other essential oils are cut with chemicals and still labeled as 100% pure, so always do your research. Young Living has a Seed to Seal process, which ensure the precise oversight of their oils from the beginning to the end. There is never anything added or taken from Young Living essential oils. Because of this, Young Living labeled as Vitality can be added to your water, in a capsule, or to a spoonful of honey.
